Welcome to the NASA Langley Research Center/VCU School of Engineering FIRST Regional web site. We look forward to the 2006 FIRST competition season and the regional here in Virginia to be held March 2 - 4, 2006 at Virginia Commonwealth University's Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia.

Here at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, we are excited to be one of several NASA field centers sponsoring regional FIRST events across the country and we are looking forward to the 2006 competitions that will be held soon. The high school students participating on these teams work alongside professional engineers, scientists, teachers and technicians to observe and experience how math, science, and technology are applied to real-world problems. It won't be long before NASA's astronauts and researchers will be joined by many FIRST alumni!
