FIRST® inspires young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
FIRST Chesapeake 20+ year-old independent 501(c)(3) organization located in Richmond, Virginia. Working in collaboration with the international organization, FIRST Inspires, FIRST Chesapeake is the official FIRST Partner Organization for FIRST Robotics Competition and FIRST Tech Challenge across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
As we work as a community to prepare young people for a STEM future, FIRST aims to ensure its programs are having a lasting, positive impact on all participants.
